Drift Inn, 124 Hwy 101, Yachats: Great food, a nice wine selection, and live music most weekends. LeRoy's Blue Whale Restaurant, 580 Hwy 101, Yachats: Family fare, burgers, wonderful homemade pies. Toad Hall Coffee Gallery, 237 W. 3rd, Yachats: By far the best latte in town, with indoor and outdoor seating. Toppers Ice Cream, Candies and Pizza, Hwy 101 and West 2nd Street, Yachats: Great Tillamook ice cream, fudge, and treats of all kinds. Activities: Cape Perpetua Scenic Area, South on Hwy 101, 10 minutes: Includes 23 miles of trails that include both seashore and forest settings. Oregon Coast Aquarium, Newport: Named one of America's top 10 aquariums, a great family outing just 25 minutes away. Sea Lion Caves, South on Highway 101, 15 minutes: A great place to see the local wildlife. Shopping: Yachats Market, 231 Hwy 101, Yachats: Full grocery store with nice produce and baked goods. Raindogs, 162 Beach Street, Yachats: Unique jewelry, gifts, music, and more (not to mention personable service and wonderful dogs that greet you at the door). Shirley's Cottage, 262 Hwy 101, Yachats: Our kids' favorite spot, with toys, kits, shells and gift items galore. Judith's Kitchen Tools, Hwy 101 and 3rd Street, Yachats: Everything you might need to create the perfect meal. Outlet Malls, Lincoln City: Good indoor fun for a rainy day - deals on clothes, housewares, and more.
